The Marian Crusaders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 84-4 win over Bryan. Marian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 26 points or more this season.
Madison Stover had a dynamite game for Marian, scoring 15 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Brichacek, who scored eight points along with three steals.
The win (which was Marian's third in a row) raised their record to 9-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Bryan, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marian will square off against Gretna at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Gretna will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings (they are ranked 159th, while Marian is ranked 30th). As for Bryan, they will head out on the road to face off against Elkhorn South at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Elkhorn South knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Bryan likes a good challenge.
