A Season-Best Performance from Dylan Buckner Leads Claiborne Academy over Prairie View Academy
On Friday, Claiborne Academy had to settle for second even though Dylan Buckner put up the best numbers he has all season. Buckner rushed for 196 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 36 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He has become a key player for Claiborne Academy: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.
This is the second loss in a row for Claiborne Academy and nudges their season record down to 5-3. Buckner and Claiborne Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tallulah Academy at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

While Hayden Smith delivered a dominant performance on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Briarfield Academy. Nobody could stop Smith as he picked up 77 receiving yards and a touchdown. He showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 65 yards.
With the loss, Briarfield Academy broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2. Smith and Briarfield Academy will take on Union Christian Academy on Friday.

Ryder Jones Makes It Two for Briarfield Academy
