Bishop Stang dropped their record down to 12-2 on Monday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They lost 11-4 to the Bishop Feehan Shamrocks. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Spartans, who until this contest were averaging 3.5 runs allowed.

Drew Taylor and Nate Moniz stepped up to the plate in a big way. Taylor got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI, while Moniz got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

As for Bishop Feehan, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games.

On Bishop Feehan's side, Randen May was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Pullen, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Coming up, Bishop Stang will take on St. Mary's at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bishop Feehan, they will head out on the road to take on Arlington Catholic on Wednesday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Shamrocks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
