Foresthill extended the longest winning streak in Sacramento Metro this week by beating Valley Christian, 64-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Foresthill led the league in scoring this week after putting up 64 points on the Lions. Tommy Sawyer threw for 101 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 91 yards in the win.
Jim Herlehy's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Wes Archbold chipped in 130 yards. Connor McCann helped Foresthill's passing attack out by catching one ball for 39 yards.
Matt O'Brien was the best wideout in the league this week as the Wildfires bested Valley Christian. O'Brien tallied two receptions for 55 yards.
Woodland Christian's Josh Truesdell and Kameron Arnold have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Sacramento Metro in both passing and receiving yards. Truesdell has thrown for 937 yards this season, while Arnold has 19 catches for 546 yards. Foresthill's Archbold leads the league in rushing yards with 589.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Woodland Christian takes on second place Foresthill. Last week, the Cardinals, while the Wildfires defeated Todd Conroy's team.
