Andrews Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 62-14 victory over Shenandoah Valley Academy on the road. Winning may never get old, but Andrews Academy sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Leading Andrews Academy to victory were Alexa Leonor and Audrey Simpson. Leonor scored 23 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Simpson dropped a double-double on 22 points and 18 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Simpson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Havvah Schnepp, who scored four points along with eight steals.
Andrews Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Shenandoah Valley Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Andrews Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Victory Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th. As for Shenandoah Valley Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Valley Thunder Homeschool at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
