Colonial Forge is 8-1 against Brooke Point since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Colonial Forge Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Brooke Point Black Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Colonial Forge is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Last Friday, everything went Colonial Forge's way against Riverbend as Colonial Forge made off with a 41-21 victory. With Colonial Forge ahead 28-7 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Josiah Bryson went supernova for Colonial Forge, rushing for 139 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. Jaevyen Peterson and his 95 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Colonial Forge's victory.
Meanwhile, Brooke Point took a serious blow against Mountain View on Friday, falling 34-6. While losing is never fun, Brooke Point can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 84th, while Mountain View is ranked sixth).
Colonial Forge's win lifted them to 7-1 while Brooke Point's loss dropped them down to 4-4.
Colonial Forge beat Brooke Point 17-6 in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Colonial Forge since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
