Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Knippa). They were the clear victors by an 18-7 margin over the La Pryor Bulldogs on Friday. The Crushers not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since February 28th.
Joaquin G and Johnny R did most of the damage at the plate: G scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while R scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. R is becoming a predictor of Knippa's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 5-7 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Cole M, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
