Kalida was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Leipsic Vikings. Even though they lost, the Wildcats' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.1 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Enna Meyers and Bailey Basinger stepped up to the plate in a big way. Meyers went 1-for-4 with four runs and one RBI, while Basinger went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Morgan Bockrath, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Kalida's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Leipsic, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

Kalida wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 15-5 defeat against Ayersville on the 28th. As for Leipsic, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-0 loss against Liberty-Benton on the 28th.
