After flying high against the CHSA HomeSchool Wolverines last Saturday, the Village Vikings came back down to earth. Village fell just short of St. John's by a score of 55-52. Village has struggled against St. John's recently, as their game on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
St. John's was led to victory by Malachi Booker and Sebastian Williams-adams. Booker scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds, while Williams-adams dropped a double-double on 21 points and 10 rebounds. The match was Williams-adams' 15th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Humphries, who scored 5 points.
Village's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for St. John's, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Village will take on Kinkaid at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kinkaid is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak. As for St. John's, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Parish Episcopal at 4:00 p.m.
