After low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, South Pike brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They had just enough and edged out the Forest Hill Patriots 13-11. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Jonah Norris was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Norris was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaleb Brumfield, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Cordell Malone, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

South Pike was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .652. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Forest Hill only posted a batting average of .188.

South Pike's record now sits at 2-4. As for Forest Hill, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
