It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Dunnellon Tigers can now relate to. They took a 68-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (63), Dunnellon still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Dunnellon still got an impressive performance from Eli Nelson, who scored 26 points along with two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nelson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tre'quori Rollerson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Dunnellon and nudges their season record down to 14-12. As for South Sumter, their win bumped their record up to 14-10.
Dunnellon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Sumter, they will square off against Eustis at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Eustis' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine games.
