Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Hesperia Christian Patriots, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a 47-28 bruising from Valley Christian Academy on Friday. Hesperia Christian's loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Hesperia Christian still got an impressive performance from Ayden Ortega, who gained 121 total yards and two touchdowns. Arlan Koester also helped with two touchdowns in total.
Hesperia Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Valley Christian Academy, their win was their sixth straight at home , which pushed their record up to 8-2.
Hesperia Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Valley Christian Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
