Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fike). Everything went their way against the Beddingfield Bruins on Wednesday as they made off with a 13-2 win. The Demons not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 11, 2024.
Lawson Boykin was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was CJ Summerlin, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
Boykin wasn't the only one making solid contact: Fike kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The Demons are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Fike is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Beddingfield, they dropped their record down to 2-14 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
