Draven Lopez Goes Supernova in Hemet Win
Hemet picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Draven Lopez. Lopez turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 255 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.6 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 72 yards. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2023.
Hemet pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Lopez will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Hillcrest on Friday.

Emiliano Villarreal was a major factor in Rancho Christian's victory over Valley View on Friday. Villarreal turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 243 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 69 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
Rancho Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-1-1. Villarreal and Rancho Christian will challenge Poly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Matthew Ramos and Co. Win Third in a Row
Hillcrest picked up their third consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Matthew Ramos. Ramos did his part (and then some), throwing for 283 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.9% of his passes, and also rushing for 66 yards on only eight carries for the 'W'. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
On the season, Ramos has thrown 17 touchdowns while averaging 203.7 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after six games last season, he was only averaging 71.35 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 110.05 passer rating.

Julian Sandoval Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Julian Sandoval produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Hillcrest to the win on Friday. Sandoval picked up 185 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The performance once again pushed his average receiving yardage north of 100 yards per game (112). He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 73 yards.
This season, Sandoval has caught 10 touchdowns while averaging 112 receiving yards per game.

Drew Neal was instrumental in extending Hemet's winning streak to six on Friday. Neal was dynamite, rushing for 155 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards.
