After three games on the road, Seton Hall Prep is heading back home. They will take on the East Side Red Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Seton Hall Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully East Side likes a good challenge.
Seton Hall Prep pushed their score all the way to 64 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 73-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Immaculate Conception. While losing is never fun, Seton Hall Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while Immaculate Conception is ranked 17th).
Despite the loss, Seton Hall Prep had strong showings from Daniel Beazer, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds, and Dylan Guzzardo, who scored 13 points along with five assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Beazer has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gino Romano, who scored nine points along with five assists.
East Side fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against West Side by a score of 52-41 on Tuesday.
Seton Hall Prep's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for East Side, their win bumped their record up to 5-14.
Seton Hall Prep strolled past East Side in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 62-44. Will Seton Hall Prep repeat their success, or does East Side have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
