When it comes to explaining why Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory lost, one person who can't be blamed is Fedrick Pernell. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points. The game was Pernell's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mykel Patton, who scored ten points along with four steals.
The victory got Bellarmine College Prep back to even at 6-6. As for Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5.

As for Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, they will square off against St. Ignatius College Preparatory at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Ignatius College Preparatory presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory in California (St. Ignatius College Preparatory is ranked 27th, while Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory is ranked 247th).
