Section 3 Class C - North recap Oct. 3, 2012
General Brown extended the longest winning streak in Section 3 Class C - North this week by beating Thousand Islands, 55-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Immaculate Heart Central's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Matt Moran threw for 122 yards and Miles Sexton had 68 yards receiving. On the ground Spencer Sharlow chipped in 79 yards. Nick Koelmel helped Immaculate Heart Central's passing attack out by catching three balls for 54 yards.
Immaculate Heart Central's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cavaliers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Moran has thrown for 597 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Koelmel has 20 catches for 338 yards. Michael Marra leads the league in rushing with 260 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Altmar-Parish-Williamstown takes on General Brown. As it stands, the Rebels are in fourth, while Tom Frears's team is in first.
The Lions led Section 3 Class C - North in scoring this week after putting up 55 points on the Vikings.
