Orchard View is 9-1 against Manistee since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Orchard View Cardinals will head out on the road to square off against the Manistee Chippewas at 7:00 p.m. Orchard View is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
Orchard View fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Potter's House Christian on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Pumas by a score of 60-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, Manistee scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They blew past Hesperia, posting a 68-36 victory on the road.
Orchard View has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Manistee, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.
Orchard View was able to grind out a solid win over Manistee when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 60-52. The rematch might be a little tougher for Orchard View since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
