On Friday, the Kongiganak Wolverines faced the Lewis Angapak Blue Jays in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Kongiganak took a 50-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lewis Angapak. The game was a 22-22 toss-up at halftime, but Kongiganak couldn't quite close it out.
Several Wolverines players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Maegan Charlie, who scored 15 points. It was the first time this season that Charlie scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Miller, who scored 12 points.
Kongiganak's defeat dropped their record down to 14-3. As for Lewis Angapak, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home.
Kongiganak does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lewis Angapak also has no future games currently scheduled.
