The Santa Fe Raiders suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They had to suffer through a rough 61-12 loss at the hands of Columbia. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Santa Fe has scored all season.
Haleigh Richburgh was Santa Fe's leading scorer, having posted nine points.
Grace Boswell-Sczepanski held things down on the boards with six rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Columbia to victory, but perhaps none more so than JOLENA GARDNER, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. GARDNER hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. Another player making a difference was JAHLAYA WILSON, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 17 rebounds.
Santa Fe now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Columbia, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Santa Fe will take on Buchholz at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Columbia won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Fort White at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Fort White is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
