There's no place like home for Freeman, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They put the hurt on the Hermitage Panthers with a sharp 7-0 win on Tuesday. Considering the Mavericks have won five contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Freeman pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Hermitage, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Freeman will head out to square off against Deep Run at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hermitage, they will be playing in front of their home fans against L.C. Bird at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers are facing the Skyhawks at the right time seeing as the Skyhawks are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
