Brandon Yee put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Yee was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played.
Yee wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Connor Miller, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Will Erickson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Corbett suffered their biggest loss since April 19, 2024 on Wednesday. They lost 7-1 to Warrenton. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Corbett now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Valley Catholic, their record is now 2-5-1.
