Comfort is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Llano is on a seven-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Comfort Bobcats/Deer will take on the Llano Yellowjackets at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Comfort will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 933rd, while Llano is ranked 418th).
Last Friday, Comfort came up short against Brady and fell 62-54.
Meanwhile, Llano was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Florence 72-25 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Llano has managed all season.
It was another big night for Weston Baker, who scored 19 points. He has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more points the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Carl Schutte, who scored 11 points.
Comfort's defeat dropped their record down to 19-12. As for Llano, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 25-6 record this season.
Comfort was taken down by Llano 68-37 in their previous meeting back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Baker, who scored 29 points. Now that Comfort knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
