Altamont had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past Westminster School at Oak Mountain with a 55-50 victory on Tuesday. The final score was a far cry from the score of their previous head-to-head, which saw the teams combine for 45 points.
Altamont relied on the efforts of Betsy Connor, who scored 13 points, and Abbey Sellers, who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Connor has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Goldberg, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, after a string of nine wins, Vincent's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 66-18 loss at the hands of Moody. Vincent has not had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Altamont's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-10. As for Vincent, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-9.
Altamont suffered a grim 46-21 defeat to the Yellow Jackets in their previous matchup back in January. Can Altamont avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
