Lamar has gone a perfect 10-0 against McBee recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Lamar's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Friday. They blew past North Central, posting a 47-0 win. That 47 point margin sets a new team best for the Silver Foxes this season.

It was another big night for Zori Pierce, who rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 196 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 81.8% of his passes. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tj Samuel, who rushed for 57 yards and one score.
Special teams also played a big role in the game for Lamar, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Nygel Eaddy, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McBee). Everything went their way against Chesterfield last Friday as they made off with a 35-14 victory. Surprisingly, this marked the Panthers' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
Lamar's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.5 points over those games. As for McBee, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Lamar has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 242.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like McBee struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 253.6 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Lamar against McBee in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 56-7 victory. In that matchup, the Silver Foxes amassed a halftime lead of 27-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
