Basketball Recap: Columbus Academy Sets Scoring Season-High Against Grandview Heights

Columbus Academy lost against Grandview Heights back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Columbus Academy Vikings took a 57-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grandview Heights Bobcats. One positive for the Vikings, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Tatum Lusher, who dropped a double-double on 38 points and 19 rebounds for Grandview Heights. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Lusher has scored at least a third of Grandview Heights' points. Claire Callif was another key player, putting up nine points and six rebounds.

Columbus Academy's defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Grandview Heights, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbus Academy will take on Worthington Christian in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Grandview Heights and Columbus School for Girls will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Columbus School for Girls will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Grandview Heights surely won't give up without a fight.
