Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Winfield). They walked away with a 70-63 victory over the Halstead Dragons on Tuesday. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the 62-58 win the Dragons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

The victory got Winfield back to even at 5-5. As for Halstead, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

Winfield has already played their next matchup (against Haven), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Halstead will take on Liberal at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Halstead has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
