Football Recap: Rains Piles Up the Points Against Chisum

Rains lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Chisum, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's matchup. The Wildcats blew past the Mustangs, posting a 42-6 victory. The Wildcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Jabari Shields and Taisean Shields. Jabari rushed for 178 yards and three scores while picking up 10.5 yards per carry while Taisean rushed for 167 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Taisean is now averaging an impressive 101.2 rushing yards per game.

Rains was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 378 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Rains' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Chisum, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Rains didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 29-20 victory against Eustace on the 26th. As for Chisum, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 55-32 defeat against Lone Oak on the 26th.
