Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask E.L. Haynes). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the BASIS Red Giants 81-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win E.L. Haynes has posted since February 3, 2024.

E.L. Haynes' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jekhi Hatcher led the charge by putting up 15 points. Elyan Beatriz was another key player, posting 14 points.

When it comes to explaining why BASIS lost, don't look at Timothy Chamberlain II. Despite the final result, he posted 36 points. Chamberlain II's evening made it 26 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Samuel Tucker, who put up seven points.

The victory (which was E.L. Haynes' third in a row) raised their record to 4-7. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for BASIS, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

E.L. Haynes wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 62-36 win against Bell on the 13th. As for BASIS, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-48 loss against Capital City Public Charter School on the 10th.
