It was a good run, but the Central Valley Warriors unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 67-55 to Beaver. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Central Valley in their matchups with Beaver: they've now lost four in a row.
Beaver got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ty Butler out in front who scored 26 points along with eight rebounds. The matchup was Butler's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Brady Mayo was another key contributor, scoring 23 points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Central Valley's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 5-3. As for Beaver, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hopewell at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. As for Beaver, they will head out on the road to face off against Blackhawk at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Blackhawk has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
