Basketball Recap: Make It Seven in a Row for Trinity Christian

Trinity Christian put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They snuck past Abundant Life Academy with a 54-49 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Trinity Christian also won the last time the pair played back in February.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trinity Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ryan Khan, who posted 19 points and eight steals. Khan is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was David Tweedie, who went 7 of 16 en route to 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Trinity Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Despite the defeat, Abundant Life Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Duncan Oduro had 18 points and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Amoah, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.

Trinity Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Abundant Life Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Trinity Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-22 win against Varsity Opponent on the 17th. As for Abundant Life Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 49-31 defeat against Calvary Academy on the 17th.
