The Angleton Christian Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Banff 70-38 on the road. That looming 70-38 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Angleton Christian yet this season.
It was another big night for Graham Rosa, who dropped a double-double on 33 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Smith, who almost dropped a triple-double on 15 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists.
Several Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Martin Cook, who scored eight points along with 14 rebounds and three blocks. Cook is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least nine every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Vinnie Chu, who scored seven points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Angleton Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Banff, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Angleton Christian will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Bears at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for Banff, they will square off against the at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Cornerstone Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Friday.
