The Agoura Chargers were the 77-41 winner over the Chatsworth Chancellors when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Agoura was the victim of a rough 73-48 defeat at the hands of Chatsworth on Wednesday. Agoura has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Agoura lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ethan Klopp. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points. The game was Klopp's seventh in a row with at least ten points. DJ Jacob was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Alijah Arenas continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Chatsworth, dropping a double-double on 34 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Arenas has scored at least 25% of Chatsworth's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taj Unuakhalu, who scored six points along with 17 rebounds and five blocks.
Agoura now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Chatsworth, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-4.
Agoura won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Shalhevet at 6:30 p.m. on December 14th. Shalhevet has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 519 points over their last eight contests. Chatsworth will be home for the holidays to greet Crespi at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Crespi is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 73.1 points per game.
