Basketball Game Preview: Great Plains Lutheran Panthers vs. Estelline/Hendricks

Great Plains Lutheran and Estelline/Hendricks are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Great Plains Lutheran Panthers will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Estelline/Hendricks at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Estelline/Hendricks is hoping to do what Britton-Hecla couldn't on Friday: put an end to Great Plains Lutheran's winning streak, which now stands at four games. Great Plains Lutheran really took it to Britton-Hecla for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-20 win. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Great Plains Lutheran to victory, but perhaps none more so than Katherine Prahl, who went 7 of 10 on her way to 15 points and four steals. Prahl is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Myra Lentz, who went 5 of 6 on her way to 11 points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Estelline/Hendricks). They blew past Little Wound 52-21 on Saturday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Estelline/Hendricks as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Estelline/Hendricks' win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Great Plains Lutheran, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Great Plains Lutheran strolled past Estelline/Hendricks in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 51-36. Will Great Plains Lutheran repeat their success, or does Estelline/Hendricks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
