The Eastern Tech Mavericks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a 55-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Western Tech & Environmental Science. Eastern Tech has struggled against the Wolverines recently, as their game on Wednesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Mavericks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Matthew Foley, who scored nine points. Brian James Jr was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds.
Eastern Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Western Tech & Environmental Science, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season.
Eastern Tech will be playing at home against the Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Overlea will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for Western Tech & Environmental Science, they will head out on the road to square off against the Mavericks at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Manchester Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
