Cordell were successful in their last outing against Sayre, and they didn't afford Sayre any payback this time around. Cordell were able to grind out a solid win over Sayre on Friday, winning 27-13. The win was a breath of fresh air for Cordell as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
The victory bumped Cordell's record up to 1-4. The defeat dropped Sayre's record to 1-4.
Next week Cordell take on Hinton at 7:00 PM. Cordell will be strutting in after a victory while Hinton will be stumbling in from a loss. As for Sayre, they will face off against Hollis. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
