Banning is 1-9 against Carson since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Pilots will square off against the Colts at 3:15 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Banning's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Rancho Dominguez 15-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pilots.
Victoria Guerra made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Banning got a massive performance out of Kourtney Talanoa, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three doubles, and four RBI. Those three doubles gave Talanoa a new career-high. Adelaida Iba?ez-Eddy also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Banning kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 23 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in nine consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Carson got the win against Narbonne on Monday by a conclusive 15-0.
Isabella Campos looked comfortable as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched.
At the plate, Kiarah Chukwudi was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Ruby Grajeda was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Banning's record is now 10-8-1. As for Carson, their record now sits at 10-6.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Banning hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .415. However, it's not like Carson struggles in that department as they've averaged .369. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
