It was a good run, but the Antietam Mountaineers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (49-47), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Halifax apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Several Mountaineers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was AJ Schiefly, who scored 14 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Julious Williams, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Antietam's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Halifax, their victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-2.
Antietam will take on the Bullets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Halifax, they will head out on the road to challenge the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
