Loretto has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will  face off against the Lewis County Panthers at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Loretto will be strutting in after a  win while Lewis County will be coming in after a  loss.
 Last Friday, Loretto faced Summertown in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Loretto walked away with  a   51-44  victory over Summertown.
  Ally Weathers and  Jenny Clifton were among the main playmakers for Loretto as the former  scored 17 points and the latter  scored 19 points. Weathers continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's  played.  Sophia Weathers was another key contributor,  scoring eight points.
 Lewis County suffered their biggest  defeat since November 16, 2023 on Monday. They were outmatched by Perry County at home  and fell  68-38. While losing is never fun, Lewis County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings  (they are ranked 324th, while Perry County is ranked 105th).
 Loretto's win was  their tenth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 17-1. As for Lewis County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
 Everything came up roses for Loretto against Lewis County when the teams last played  back in February of 2023 as the  team secured a  58-23 victory. Will Loretto repeat their success,  or does  Lewis County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
