Covenant Day posted their biggest victory since December 19, 2023 on Tuesday. They blew past Charlotte Christian 73-41 at home. With Covenant Day ahead 48-16 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Covenant Day to victory, but perhaps none more so than Walker Olshefski, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Olshefski has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Marcus Jr., who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Charlotte Latin scored an imposing 67 points on Tuesday, Cannon still came out on top. Cannon was the clear victor by a 88-67 margin over Charlotte Latin. Given Cannon's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while Charlotte Latin is ranked 164th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Covenant Day has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Cannon, their win bumped their record up to 20-7.
