The Whitney Young Dolphins will challenge the Simeon Wolverines at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Whitney Young barely beat Amundsen the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Dolphins were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Vikings on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Dolphins sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Will Carter looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, Whitney Young let Isaac Stoelinga and Luke Yolich run wild. Stoelinga went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Yolich went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Yolich has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Kingsley Evans, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base.
Whitney Young hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive games.
The home team had won the previous five meetings between Simeon and Lindblom, and Simeon kept the tradition alive. The Wolverines put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 13-3 win on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Wolverines have posted against the Eagles since April 29, 2022.
Antonio Porterfield looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, Aiden Pondexter was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and four runs. He is becoming a predictor of Simeon's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-0-1 (and 4-7-1 when he doesn't). Michael Ware was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and four runs.
Simeon's win bumped their record up to 6-7-2. As for Whitney Young, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.
Whitney Young came out on top in a nail-biter against Simeon in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. Will the Dolphins repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
