Cornerstone Christian is  a perfect 4-0 against Mt. Pleasant Christian since March of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday.  J.R. Monroe and  Colby Harrison made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing,  Monroe   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Meanwhile,  Harrison   didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. That's the most  strikeouts  he has posted since back in March of 2024. At bat,  Monroe  got on base  in four of his six plate appearances with one  home run, three  stolen bases,  and four  RBI, while  Harrison  scored two  runs and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in four of his six plate appearances. That  home run marked the first that  Monroe  launched this season.
 In other batting news,  Gage Donaldson was  incredible,  going 3-for-5 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Bolton Lawton, who  scored three  runs while going 2-for-5.
 Cornerstone Christian  lost a few balls and  finished the game with two  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Mt. Pleasant Christian's offense. They came up short against  Evangel Christian on Tuesday, falling  15-0. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Cornerstone Christian pushed their record up to 4-0 with the  win, which was their sixth straight  on the road dating back to last season. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 15.2 runs over those games. As for Mt. Pleasant Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
 Cornerstone Christian took their  win against Mt. Pleasant Christian  when the teams last played  back in March by a conclusive  9-3 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success,  or do  the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
