It was a good run, but Willis unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 14-7 to the Oak Ridge War Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildkats have suffered against the War Eagles since March 18, 2022.

Willis' defeat dropped their record down to 12-10-3. As for Oak Ridge, their win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-9-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Willis will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on A&M Consolidated at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Oak Ridge, they will venture away from home to challenge Caney Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The War Eagles are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
