The Ellington Knights will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Woodstock Academy Centaurs at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Ellington will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Last Wednesday, Ellington was able to grind out a solid victory over Lyman Memorial, taking the game 58-46. 58 seems to be a good number for Ellington as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Woodstock Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They came out on top against Old Lyme by a score of 67-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Ellington's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Woodstock Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Ellington strolled past Woodstock Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2020 by a score of 71-57. Does Ellington have another victory up their sleeve, or will Woodstock Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
