Volleyball Recap: Sullivan Has No Trouble Against Cloverdale

Sullivan won the last time they faced Cloverdale and things went their way on Thursday too. The Golden Arrows blew past the Clovers 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Arrows.

Sullivan never let Cloverdale on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 26-24, 25-11.

Destiny Gaines paced Sullivan's offense, picking up eight kills. Gaines got some help from Rachel Eslinger and her 25 assists. Eslinger was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Sullivan's victory bumped their record up to 22-6. As for Cloverdale, they dropped their record down to 2-16 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Sullivan will challenge Eastern Greene at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cloverdale, they will square off against Clay City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
