Central's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They never let the Waynesville Tigers get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. Considering the Bulldogs have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Brody Holland was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Central is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-13 otherwise. Holland was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Barrett Burns was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Central is undefeated when Burns posts two or more runs, but 7-13 otherwise.

Central's record is now 10-13. As for Waynesville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will head out to face off against Laquey at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Waynesville, they will head out on the road to challenge Ozark at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
