Macomb proved they can win big  last Monday (they won by ten) and  on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Canton Little Giants, sneaking past  7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Bombers have posted  since May 3, 2024.
 Emmett Beck was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. That  home run marked the first that  he  launched this season.  Drew Watson was another key player,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with one  double and one  RBI.
 Beck wasn't the only one making solid contact: Macomb  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. The Bombers are 2-1 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
The  victory was their first  at home , bumping their record up to 2-8. As for Canton, their defeat was  their fourth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 5-5.
 Looking ahead, Macomb will venture away from home to  take on West Prairie  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Canton, they will welcome East Peoria  at 4:15  p.m.  on Monday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2  runs per game  this season, so the Little Giants' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
