Irvington Preparatory Academy had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Mooresville Christian Eagles as they made off with an 11-1 victory. Considering Irvington Preparatory Academy has won 13 matches by more than eight runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Owen Kriech made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 16 over six innings pitched. Those 16 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Cortez Jenkins was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jordan White, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.

Irvington Preparatory Academy pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Mooresville Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Coming up, Irvington Preparatory Academy will head out on the road to face off against Monrovia at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Irvington Preparatory Academy's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
