Taylor is 3-0 against Manor New Tech since November of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Taylor Ducks will head out on the road to face off against Manor New Tech at 6:15 p.m. Taylor is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
Taylor has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 27 points or more this season. They breezed by Austin Achieve at home to the tune of 76-12. That 76-12 margin sets a new team best for Taylor this season.
Taylor's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Asia Zachary, who scored 14 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tiana Candee, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 78 points the game before, Manor New Tech were a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They were dealt a 54-14 loss at the hands of Giddings. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Manor New Tech in their matchups with Giddings: they've now lost five in a row.
The win got Taylor back to even at 7-7. As for Manor New Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.
Everything came up roses for Taylor against Manor New Tech when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 64-16 win. Does Taylor have another victory up their sleeve, or will Manor New Tech turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
