Andrews Osborne Academy let St. Martin de Porres stack 25 runs on them in the second inning on Wednesday but luckily Andrews Osborne Academy prevailed anyway. The Phoenix narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Lions 31-29. The Phoenix haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Anastasia Belkin was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with five runs and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannie Martin, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI.

Andrews Osborne Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher in seven consecutive games.

The win got Andrews Osborne Academy back to even at 4-4. As for St. Martin de Porres, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Andrews Osborne Academy will venture away from home to face off against Villa Angela-St. Joseph at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Martin de Porres, they will head out to square off against Warrensville Heights at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
